Bio

Saxophonist Geoff Burke has performed with Harry Connick, Jr., the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Dispatch, Strange Majik, and the Artie Shaw Orchestra, among others.  As a member of the Connick orchestra, he has appeared on the NBC nationally syndicated talked show HARRY for two seasons, performing alongside Gloria Gaynor, Gladys Knight, Leslie Odom, Jr., Billy Ray Cyrus, Marilyn Maye, Natalie Merchant, Michael McDonald, and Aaron Neville.  He can be heard on the live CD/DVD, Harry Connick, Jr.: In Concert On Broadway, as well as Harry’s debut recording for Verve, True Love: A Celebration of Cole Porter.

Geoff graduated Duke University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and a minor in Music, where he studied saxophone and arranging with Paul Jeffrey.  In the Fall of 1999, he moved to New York to continue his studies at Queens College with Michael Mossman, Sir Roland Hanna, and Todd Williams. He is a proud dog owner of Doxy, whom he rescued from the SPCA in Philadelphia. 

Geoff continues to perform and tour with Harry Connick, Jr. and can be heard every Tuesday with Strange Majik at their Belle Reve residency in New York City.
